Since Sarah Palin ran for the VP nomination in the 2008 election, news media outlets have been paying a bit more attention to her and all the things going on in Alaska, which makes me wonder if it’s always been this nuts or if it just seems like it because Sarah Palin is there.
Beyond all [...]

Now that she’s no longer in the running for VP, all these newscasters and interviewers are coming out with juicy gossip about how little she knew and how much of a “diva” she was. While I don’t necessarily like the use of the word diva (“demanding” could have been used with fewer gender overtones), I’m [...]

A reporter asks Biden if Obama is a Marxist because he wants to give the middle class more tax breaks. Biden responds as he should: “Is that a real question?”
Alaska senator Ted Stevens is found guilty of breaching proper ethics in receiving gifts from an oil company after a long, very strange trial. Aren’t we glad that [...]

Now, I wasn’t happy with McCain’s attacks on Obama, calling him a celebrity, elitist, or hitting his policies. That’s politics, quite frankly, no matter how much I disagree with him.
But with this new angle of attack, McCain and his cronies have crossed the line so far that I think they’re in another county. McCain has [...]

A report released by the bipartisan investigative committee into the “Troopergate” scandal found that Palin had acted unethically and abused her power. Spin, Palin, Spin.
After drops in stock markets around the world, Europe and the United States have unveiled a cooperative effort to alleviate economic woes.
Not of national importance, but I was interviewed by the [...]

All presidential campaigns, it seems, require some apologies at some point. In this race, with McCain putting on his outrage once again, I think we should look at who those apologies should be directed to exactly.
First, McCain is calling for a personal apology from Obama himself for a comment that one of his supporters [...]

…and I am the epitome of unsurprised. According to the findings of the legislative panel investigating what is now known as “Troopergate,” Alaskan governor Sarah Palin abused her power in the firing of a state public safety commissioner.
At the very least, according to the report:
The evidence supports the conclusion that Governor Palin, at the [...]

Some Palin staffers have agreed to testify in the Troopergate scandal surrounding Palin’s dealings in Alaska. This comes after Palin refused to cough up emails (citing executive privilege) and told her staffers and her husband not to comply with the subpoenas issued for them. Cheney-esque much?
This may change by the time I post this, but [...]

Well, we all knew what the McCain camp’s strategy was, and I think they’ve succeeded. Their base is riled up and full of hate for all those who “stand in their way.”
They’ve attacked Obama so much that now their crowds are yelling things like “kill him” and responding with “terrorist” when asked who the “real [...]

…again. GW Bush used this tactic a great deal; saying that no one else but him could save America from the terrorists who lurked around every corner. He played with the pretty colors on his “terrorist alert” system, he mentioned 9/11 whenever possible, and showed a “take no prisoners” type outrage at our enemies, both [...]
