RIP Ted Kennedy

It’s tragic that he didn’t get to live long enough to see his biggest goal, healthcare reform, being passed.  He will be desperately missed.

Defense Budget Cuts? Not Even Close.

There’s been a lot of chatter on the right recently about all the budget cuts that Obama  has been handing to the military.  Outcry is loud and the story has been published in a few newpapers.  However, there’s one tiny problem with it.  It’s completely and totally false.  The exact OPPOSITE is true, where Obama [...]

Just to mix it up a bit, [...]

News This Week

A reporter asks Biden if Obama is a Marxist because he wants to give the middle class more tax breaks.  Biden responds as he should: “Is that a real question?”
Alaska senator Ted Stevens is found guilty of breaching proper ethics in receiving gifts from an oil company after a long, very strange trial.  Aren’t we glad that [...]

News This Week

Colin Powell, appearing on Meet the Press this week endorses Barack Obama!  Colin Powell, in my opinion, is an amazing man who got a raw deal and I’m thrilled that he’s supporting the candidate that I support.  For Obama, this will give him more credibility as to his ability to handle foreign policy.  Seriously, even [...]

After drops in stock markets around the world, Europe and the United States have unveiled a cooperative effort to alleviate economic woes.
Not of national importance, but I was interviewed by the [...]

Apologies

All presidential campaigns, it seems, require some apologies at some point.  In this race, with McCain putting on his outrage once again, I think we should look at who those apologies should be directed to exactly.
First, McCain is calling for a personal apology from Obama himself for a comment that one of his supporters [...]

News This Week

Some Palin staffers have agreed to testify in the Troopergate scandal surrounding Palin’s dealings in Alaska.  This comes after Palin refused to cough up emails (citing executive privilege) and told her staffers and her husband not to comply with the subpoenas issued for them.  Cheney-esque much?
This may change by the time I post this, but [...]

News This Week

The House of Representatives have rejected the $700 billion bailout plan on a vote of 228-205.  This caused the DOW Jones industrial average fell even further.  There be rough waters ahead, my fellow Americans.
Later in the week, the Senate agreed on a bailout bill after a bit of editing.  It’s now going back to the House, [...]

High Dive Into a Glass of Water…Politically, Of Course

Faux News kissing McCain’s ass and suggesting that he suspend his campaign again (though he didn’t really do it the first time) in order to swoop in and save the economy again!

My favorite part?  McCain repeating that he will do whatever he has to and the Faux anchor saying that when [...]
